ftp instructions
File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
If you need to upload an image to us that is larger than 60 MB you will need to upload it to us through our FTP site.
Please follow these instructions.
1. You will need to set up an FTP account (This is done at no charge).
2. To set up a personal account you will first need to email us a username and password that you would like to use to access the FTP site. To keep things simple your user name and password will be all in lower case.
3. We will then email you back after your account is established. This is generally done within 24 hours.
4. Once we have you registered you can then go to ftp://ftp.pixperf.net with your internet browser and login. (If this link does not work, you may have to manually type in ftp://ftp.pixperf.net/ into your address bar, also try refreshing the screen) You will then be prompted to enter your username and password. If you are using an FTP client use ftp.pixperf.net as the host name.
5. Once you are into the ftp site you will initially find a folder named "images" which we created for you.
6. You can create any folders of your own.
7. You can then just drag and drop or copy and paste your file(s) into your folder(s).
8. After you have uploaded your file(s) you will need to then send us an email with instructions.
9. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at digital@pixperf.net
NOTE: Any files more than 30 days old will be purged.
Having Trouble with FTP using your browser?
Make sure your browser is setup to use FTP. Goto your browsers menu bar: Tools (or View) --> Internet Options and click on the advanced tab. Make sure FTP is enabled. If you still have problems or are using a dsl modem and/or have a firewall select the "use passive FTP" in the advanced setup.
Macs: You need to use an FTP client for Macs. Take a look at http://www.fetchsoftworks.com and use pixperf.net as the host name
